Is it really necessary to have a girlfriend in the university?

In the campus,more and more boys have a girlfriend.I ever have one,then she broke up with me ,she thought we would not together in the end.
Do you think it necessary to have a girlfriend,if you have a girlfriend,what will you do.maybe you can marry with her in the future,but in most cases,we just want her body,make love with her.That's all!

it is a stage of our lives that we picture something about opposite gender in our mind.i think it is necessary in our lives,not in a specifical period.

    I have fall in love with a girl in my junior year,but we broke up for we can not be together in the future.
