Dear LZ, while reading the novel "Story of My Life" , i came across the word ROMAN, and referred to Dictionary, only to find that it is both a noun and an adjective. so there is no need of adding " 's " , isn't it?

Oh,I found your explanation have certain substance.But the word roman in this sentence only can be used as a noun.That's  what I have to say, you can take it or leave it!
