ONE DAY WE WILL CONQUER

Cheerleading: it means a lot to me. Most people don't understand what it is that is so great about it. They don't even consider it a sport. But to me, it's everything. My school seems like a school that would be well sucky, a bad school to attend. But I love it; it's nowhere near what people think of it.

Our cheerleading squad is really good, when we have 100% being put into it. We just had a competition and we were more than ready for it. When we got there we went straight to the practice mat. Everyone literally stopped everything they where doing to watch us. We were awesome. They even clapped for us and we were just practicing so we knew we had what it took to win.

When it was time to go out, we all got in a circle and prayed. We got ready. The music came on. Our first mount fell. Oh no, then one of the second ones fell. Our last one, it fell too. Everything we worked for, for almost a year, had fallen apart in a matter of seconds. But we kept our heads up and completed the dance.

As we left the gym, the whole squad fell apart. Tears were flowing down everyone's face, except our coach. She told us to keep our heads up, no tears. We did a great job; it was just one competition. Yeah we might not place, but we tried our best.

None of us wanted to hear it but now that we think about it... we did try our best. We knew we could do it and we messed up; one competition. No, we didn't place and it hurt a lot, but we are going to learn from this experience, and we will perfect all our weak spots and then one day we will conquer.
