[/indent]1. Excuse me, could you please tell me where is the counter for incoming remittance?
2. i'm expecting 200 US dollars from San Fransico. Has it arrived?
3. Your money has arrived.
4. We've made a credit entry to your accounts.
5. How would you like to have it?
6 It's very convenient to pay by cheque.
7. Can I have it partly in RMB and partly in US dollars?
8. I'm sorry sir but the remittance has not arrived yet.
9. If it is coming by air mail it won't arrive till tomorrow or the day after.
10. If you ask your company to apply for a cheque drawn on the bank of China. We can cash it right away.
11. The bank can issue a banker's cheque drawn on their correspondence here in Shanghai.

-yes, here it is. What can I do for you?
-My name is John Jones, I'm expecting a 100 pounds remittance from London. Has it arrived?
- I'll check our records, sir. But may I ask you to write down your name on this piece of paper?
-Alright.
-Mr. John Jones, sir?
-Yes.
-One moment please while I check the records. Yes, your money has arrived. It's 100 pounds. We've made a credit entry to your account.
-That's good.
-How would you like to have it sir?
-I'd like 5 travellor's cheques of 20 pounds each. As you know, it's very convenient to pay for things by cheque.
-And it's safe to carry cheque w/you, too. Here are your cheques. Have a nice day.
-Thank you and you, too.

-yes?
-Your money has arrived, 200 US dollars.
-Great!
-How would you like to have the sum, sir, in RMB or US dollars?
- Can I have it partly in RMB and partly in US dollars.
-Of course, sir.
-Well then, I want to have 60 dollars in RMB, and 140 US dollars.
- Both in cash, sir?
-No, RMB in cash, but I want the US dollars in traveller's cheques.
- Would you lke the commission deducted from these 200 US dollars, or would you rather pay for it separately?
-You can deduct it from the remittance.
- Alright, please fill in this memo for traveller's cheques. Put your name and address here, your passport number and sign here.
-OK, I'll do this. Now, here you are.
- Well, this is number plate for you. Just a minute. We'll call you when it's ready.
-Fine , thank you.
-Mr. Gold here is your money, US 140 dollars in traveller's cheque and 490 RMB in cash.  And our commission fo US 2 dollars has been deducted. Please count them.
-They're correct. Thank you.

[/indent]- Mr. Shawn.
-Yes?
-I'm sorry, sir but the remittance doesn't appear to have arrived yet.
-That's odd I received a cable from London yesterday which said money sent today.
- And did they remit the money by T/T?
- Well, I suppose so. The cable didn't point out the type of remittance. How many days would it take by air mail?
-By air mail from London, sir, well, maybe one week at least. Do u know through which bank in London they remitted the funds?
- Oh, I'm not certain. The HK and SH bank cooperation is their correspondent bank.
-But are you sure that it was remitted to us?
-Yes, the wire says it was remitted to the bank of China , SH branch.
- I see. If the remittance was sent by T/T, it should have arrived by now but by M/T, it won'tarrive by tomorrow or the day after.
-Well, I'll come again tomorrow.
-Would you like us to phone when the money arrives?
-Oh, that would be very kind of you. YOu can call me at my office. The telephone no. is 63415482.
-63415482... very well, sir, I'll call as soon as the remittance arrives.
-Thank you very much. Oh, by the way May I ask your name?
-Of course, my name is Wool.
-Mr. Wool. Well, thank you Mr.Wool.

[/indent]-Hello, is that Mr. Shawn? This is Mr. Wool fo the bank speaking.
-Hello, Mr. Wool. Nice to hear you.How are you?
-Very well, sir, thank you , and you.
-Quite well.
-I'm calling to tell you your remittance has just arrived, Mr. Shawn.It came by air mail from our London office.
-Wonderful, thank you for your timely information. I'm coming this afternoon. Until what time does your bank open?
-it opens till 6 pm. Please bring your passport with you when you come.
-Alright, I'll be seeing you.
-Goodbye.
