Railway departments are continuing their work to assist afflicted areas. Over 40-thousand quilts and hundreds of electricity restoration facilities are being shipped in one of the largest transport hubs of Hunan province.
And in Guangzhou, there are now special direct trains for the transportation of supplies. Over 800 of these cargo trains were dispatched during the Spring Festival.
Agricultural production is gradually returning to normal. In Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, sugarcane is frozen and harvest has been delayed due to the snowfall.
As the temperature continues to rise, the authorities and sugar producing factories are taking measures to assist with the harvest as further delays could lead to rotten crops. Farmers are also helping one another.
Insurance companies are speeding up their work checking damage claims and handing out compensation. And the whole insurance industry is taking emergency measures to meet the demand.
