每日英语学习 你了解多少Queen

今年是英国女王伊丽莎白二世在位60年的大日子，快赶上咱们的康熙皇帝啦！所以，咱们也凑个热闹，聊聊关于Queen的那些英文。

[size=3]Queen既可以指女王、[/size]高统治者（英国现任女王Queen Elizabeth II）（埃及艳后=Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt），也可以指国王的妻子王后；Queen既是扑克牌里的Q（方片12=the queen of diamonds），也是国际象棋里最厉害的棋子“后”；queen还可以表示某一领域内最出众的女子（流行天后=the queen of pop），也可以表示同类事物中最厉害的（时尚圣地巴黎=Paris, the queen of fashion）。

另外，beauty queen=选美皇后，queen bee=特别有气场的女性、女首领，queen-size bed=大号双人床。


关于Queen，还有……英国国歌=God Save the Queen，如果国王是男子，国歌就改成God Save the King。。。地道英文=Queen's English，英国人傲娇地觉得只有英国人讲的英文才是地道英文；爱丽丝漫游仙境中的大反派红心皇后=The Queen of Hearts。

    Queen-size bed .it means the Queen's bed is large .I love Queen-size bed too .
