[color=#000][font=tahoma, Helvetica, arial][size=14px]Joichi Tachikawa, spokesman for Toyota told the BBC that the problem with the steering wheel was to do with "insufficient hardness of the steering shaft".[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#000][font=tahoma, Helvetica, arial][size=14px]He explained that due to this, the splines which connect the extension shaft to the [b]gearbox（变速箱）[/b]may deform if the steering wheel is "frequently and forcefully turned to the full lock position while driving at a very slow [url=http://www.enread.com/news/life/90880.html]speed[/url]".[/size][/font][/color]
[color=#000][font=tahoma, Helvetica, arial][size=14px]"This may create an increased[b] backlash（后座）[/b] and the[b] splines（花键，齿条）[/b] may eventually wear out over time which could result in loss of steering ability," he added.[/size][/font][/color]
