Pig out 狼吞虎咽地大吃

  Pig out = make a pig of oneself.它们都有“狼吞虎咽”的意思。传统观念中,猪是贪吃的动物。时下此语通用,指爱吃或爱吃的食物,作动词、名词、形容词均可。年轻人食欲比较强,尤其喜欢把此语挂在嘴边。

  例如:

  We pigged out on pizza last night.

  昨天晚上我们大吃了一顿比萨。

  His favorite pig out food is barbecued spareribs.

  他一辈子都吃不厌的食物就是烧排骨。

  Jimmy has been invited to dine at a friend's house tonight. I do hope he doesn't make a pig of himself.

  今天有朋友请吉米在他家吃饭,希望吉米不要太嘴馋
