Jim Muir reports. An International Red Cross spokesman said the abduction happened when a convoy of four clearly marked ICRC vehicles was intercepted by gunmen near Saraqeb in the northwestern province of Idlib. ________________________________ The spokesman couldn't confirm Syrian state media reports that the convoy had been shot at. He said they had had no direct contact so far with the kidnapped personnel or with their abductors. It's not known who might have been responsible for the abduction.
