The song was composed by Song Zhigang, who comes from Henan Province. Song said, "The song fermented in my mind for a long time, so it dashed out at a red hot pace when I wrote it." The song writer also revealed that he is often concerned about news on current events portrayed on TV and adds that he can feel the love between the first couple.
On November 16, 2014, whilst watching television, Song was inspired by pictures of Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan during their national visit. He composed the lyrics of the song within one hour and sent it to his musical team. In less than two hours, the song was complete.

Notes:

“大大” “麻麻”(Dada; Mama; dà dà má má ):
Both are internet buzz words, meaning uncle and aunt respectively, and here in the video refering to Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan.
“打老虎”(hunt tigers;dǎ lǎo hǔ ):
The term refers to the "anti-graft campaign" being pursued by the Chinese central government. The hunt began in January last year, when newly elected leader Xi Jinping told a meeting of the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection that both "tigers (老虎 lǎohǔ)" and "flies (苍蝇 cāngyíng)" were the targets of a new anti-graft campaign.
