Hi-English >>

Angela: Sara, this is our new sales quota for the month.
Sara: You can’t be serious. We can’t make that many sales. You know we’ve been facing incredibly stiff competition recently.
Angela: Sara, true brilliance is finding ways to reach difficult goals.
Sara: How about impossible goals?
Angela: The greater the goal, the greater the reward – not to mention your bonus.
Sara: Surely I know this, but how can we increase our sales by that much?
Angela: Well, let’s think outside the box. What can we offer that on one could refuse?
Sara: well, it’s back-to-school time. We could…we could undercut our competition, start selling in other regions, hire another sales rep firm…
Angela: Now you’re on to something. Now get out there and make it happen.
Sara: (Determined) Perhaps I can find a way. Yes, I am going to move mountains.

Notes:
on to something:进入状况

ALWAYS REMEMBER

It takes a minute to have a crush on someone and it takes an hour to like someone and a day to love some one but it takes lifetime to forget some one.

You meet some people in your life who change you for the better, REMEMBER them kindly. And as for FRIENDS just be LOYAL -nothing more nothing less.

Its true that we don't know what we've got until we loose it but it is also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens but often we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one, which opens to us.

Never say GOODBYE when u still want to TRY, Never give up when u still fell u can take it, never say you don't LOVE that person anymore when you can't let go.

Live and Learn

If you’re not sure what title to use with an American’s name, just ask. If you’re embarrassed about asking and want to be polite, you can always use Sir for a man and Madam for a woman. In any case, many Americans are happy to use first names quite quickly after meeting someone for the first time. For example, Americans who are well past middle age will say – even to young people – Just call me (Nancy/Bill).
