重点解说：

★ "on earth"的意思近于中文的「到底」「究竟」，"in the world"也具有同样的含义，"the hell"或"in the hell"则是较粗鄙的说法，这几个用语在口语中经常使用，扮演着强调疑问句或否定句的功能，如Where on earth did you get that?「那个你到底是从哪取得的？」What in the world happened?「究竟发生什么事？」Where in the hell have you left my car?「你到底把我的车放在哪里？」

★ take time「花费时间」cf. Take your time.「请慢慢来。」
