_______________________ China and Russia failed to reach a 400 billion dollar natural gas supply agreement Tuesday despite high expectations as the political interest to both countries would push them to complete the deal. In a visit to Shanghai, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping signed 49 agreements on energy, transportation and communications but they did not agree on how much China would pay Russia to supply gas over the next 30 years. The two countries still could reach a gas deal before Mr.Putin ends his two day visit to China later Wednesday. _______________________ 周二,中俄四千亿美元的天然气供应协议未能达成一致,尽管外界普遍认为共同的政治利益会促使双方达成协议.在访问上海期间,俄总统普京和中国国家主席习近平就能源,交通和通信签署了49项协议,但双方就未来30年俄罗斯供给中国天然气的价格未能达成一致.两国在周三晚些时候,也就是普京结束对中国的两天访问前仍有可能就天然气达成一致.
