A HEIFER saw an Ox hard at work harnessed to a plow, and tormented himwith reflections on his unhappy fate in being compelled to labor.

Shortly afterwards, at the harvest festival, the owner released the Oxfrom his yoke, but bound the Heifer with cords and led him away to thealtar to be slain in honor of the occasion.

The Ox saw what was being done, and said with a smile to the Heifer:"For this you were allowed to live in idleness, because you werepresently to be sacrificed."



      母牛看见套上挽具的公牛在辛辛苦苦地犁地，就嘲讽公牛命运悲惨，得干体力活。
     不久之后，收获的季节到了，主人把公牛身上的牛轭卸下，把母牛用绳子捆住带到祭坛上去，打算把她杀了做祭品。
     公牛目睹这一切，面带微笑对母牛说：“人们允许你虚度光阴，是因为要牺牲你。”
