Giving your attention
When you want to give something of real value to another,
give your attention. When you seek to develop true
understanding, give your sincere attention.
You can learn, you can lead, you can build lasting
relationships and create much value by paying attention.
When lecturing, pleading and arguing fail to get your point
across, giving your attention very likely will.
Yes, it can be difficult to give your full attention in a
fast-moving world that is filled with distractions. And yet,
the more distractions there are, the more precious and
valuable your attention becomes.
Give something to others that is one hundred percent you.
Give the gift of your attention.
There are people all around you who are yearning to be
heard, and seen, and noticed and understood. By truly paying
attention, you enrich your life as well as theirs.
Even if you have nothing else to give, you can always give
your attention. It will be surely welcomed and treasured as
it brings real light to the world.
