The best way to learn new words is to learn them in a paragraph, which gives you a context. In this way, you will not only learn the meaning of the words, but also the usage of them. The paragraphs don't have to be to long, but must be classical. In my opinion, New Concept English 3 and 4 may be suitable to you. You might as well have a try.
