Leehom Wang (born May 17, 1976) is an American-born [url=/wiki/Singer-songwriter]singer-songwriter[/url], [url=/wiki/Record_producer]record producer[/url], [url=/wiki/Actor]actor[/url] and [url=/wiki/Film_director]film director[/url] of [url=/wiki/Han_Chinese]Chinese[/url] descent based in [url=/wiki/Taiwan]Taiwan[/url]. Formally trained at the [url=/wiki/Eastman_School_of_Music]Eastman School of Music[/url], [url=/wiki/Williams_College]Williams College[/url] and [url=/wiki/Berklee_College_of_Music]Berklee College of Music[/url], his musical style is known for fusing Chinese elements (such as [url=/wiki/Beijing_opera]Beijing opera[/url], traditional styles of ethnic minorities, Chinese classical orchestra) with hip-hop and R&B. Wang has been active since 1995 and contributed in 25 albums. He is also a four-time winner of Taiwan's [url=/wiki/Golden_Melody_Awards]Golden Melody Awards[/url], the "Grammys" of Taiwanese music.

Wang is also recognized for his effort and financial contributions to charity. He is active with Worldvision and has visited Laos and Sierra Leone in the last couple of years to raise awareness about the state of poverty in those countries. He personally sponsors over 20 underprivileged children throughout the world with NGO World Vision and frequently participates in the much needed fund-raising campaigns for disaster relief such as the massive earthquake at Sichuan (2008) and Typhoon Marakot in Taiwan (2009).
