形容词和副词的比较等级：高考常考考点, 备考时请注意以下问题： 1. 注意形容词比较等级的构成。 2. 两者比较用比较级, 三者比较用最高级, 不作比较用原级。 3. 句中有了 than 一词, 要用比较级, 有了三者(以上)的比较范围用最高级。 4. 关于“than any other＋名词(用单数形式)”：若是所谈论的对象在比较范围之内, 则必须用 other, 以排除自己与自己作比较; 但是若所谈论的对象不在比较 范围之内, 则不能使用other, 否则不合逻辑。 请看两道高考题： (1) Jimmy is the oldest boy and is taller than _______ boy in the class. A. the other B. any other C. each D. all 【B】 (2) Canada is larger than _______ country in Asia. A. any B. any other C. other D. another 【A】 5. 关于 as...as 结构及其修饰语：该结构中一定要用形容词或副词的原级, 不能 是比较级或最高级。在肯定句中一定要用 as...as 结构, 但是在否定句中用 as ...as 或 so...as 均可。 至于该结构的修饰语要注意的是：一定要将修饰语置 于该结构之前, 而不能置于其中或其后。最后再说明一点：有时在上下文语境明 确时, 该结构的后一个 as 可能会被省去。 请看几个高考实例： (1) The horse is getting old and can’t run _______ it did. A. as twice many B. as many twice C. twice as many D. twice many as 【C】 6. 关于比较等级的修饰语： (1) 比较级的常见修饰语：far, even, many, much, still, a lot, a little, a bit, rather, (three) times, not any 等（注：by far也可修饰比较级, 但通常要置于比较级之后; many 和 much 均可用于比较级之前, 但要注意比 较级之后的名词应分别是可数名词和不可数名词）。 (2) 最高级的常见修饰语：by far, much, nearly, almost, not quite, by no means 等（注：very, second, next 等也可修饰最高级, 但与上列修饰语不 同, 它们应置于定冠词与最高级之间）。 (3) 不能使用双重比较级（即不能用 more 修饰 -er 比较级, 比如不能说：more bigger 之类的）。 请看几道高考题： (1) —How did you find your visit to the museum? —I thoroughly enjoyed it. A. more B. much more C. much D. more much 【C】 7. 关于比较等级与冠词：一般说来, 下列情况下比较级之前要用冠词： (1) 当比较级与 of the two 连用时, 比较级前通常要用 the。 (2) 某些副词（如：by far 等）放在比较级之前作修饰语时, 通常要用 the。 (3) 当比较级之后接有名词时, 通常也要有冠词（a/an, the）。 (4) 表示“越……越……”时, 两个比较级之前均要有 the(此时的the是副词)。 请看几道高考题： (1) Which is _______ country, Canada or Australia?
