南非世界杯再酿悲剧 曼德拉重孙女遇车祸身亡（双语）

腾讯体育讯 北京时间6月11日午时，据BBC新闻网消息，曼德拉基金会公布了一条噩耗，在这一全世界都在欢庆世界杯即将开始的时刻传来悲剧：南非前总统尼尔森-曼德拉的重孙女、13岁的泽娜妮-曼德拉在世界杯前夕的音乐会后不幸遭遇车祸身亡。
曼德拉基金会称，泽娜妮-曼德拉是在观看完昨夜于约翰内斯堡举办的世界杯音乐会后，乘车回家的途中遭遇车祸身亡的。据一位警方发言人表示，当时与泽娜妮- 曼德拉同行的是曼德拉的前妻温妮-马蒂基泽拉，不过，除了泽娜妮不幸遇难，其他同行人员并没有出现伤亡。目前警方已经将司机带走进行调查。曼德拉基金会在声明中表示：“曼德拉的家人现在希望公众能够给他们一些私人空间，好处理后事和哀悼。”
泽娜妮是曼德拉先生的9个曾孙之一，在6月9日刚刚度过了自己13岁的生日。在曼德拉先生即将参加世界杯开幕式的几个小时前发生如此悲剧，对这位功勋卓著的南非前总统来说是一个极大的打击，这一悲剧性的事件也为他是否会出席南非世界杯开幕式打上了疑问。

Mandela’s great-granddaughter killed in car crash
Johannesburg, June 11 (DPA) Former South African president Nelson Mandela’s great-granddaughter Zenani Mandela was killed in a car crash while returning home from the World Cup kick-off concert here Friday.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation said in a statement that the car in which the girl, who had turned 13 two days ago, was travelling was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
“The family has asked for privacy as they mourn this tragedy,” the statement added.
Friday is the first day of the World Cup, when South Africa take on Mexico here.
Mandela, 91, was feted by tens of thousands of spectators at the warm-up gig in Soweto’s Orlando Stadium, where Archbishop Desmond Tutu introduced a slide-show of photographs about the anti-apartheid icon in between acts.
Mandela, who is expected to attend part of the opening game in Soccer City later, has eight other great-grandchildren. |
