Chinese flights were punctual just 68.37 percent of the time in 2014, according to a report by the Civilian Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on Wednesday.

In 2014, the five most heavily-traveled airports--Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and Shenzhen Baoan International Airport--serviced a high number of departures and arrivals for 15 hours per day; this figure exceeds the CAAC's average requirements for daily take-offs and landings.
