最近，麦当劳摊上事儿了……
首先看下面两张图，这雪白的冰淇淋和脏兮兮的凹槽有什么关系呢？
故事还要从一位在麦当劳打工的小哥说起……
Nick
18岁的Nick是麦当劳路易斯安那州拉普拉斯店的雇员，他在店里工作了5个月。
据美国新闻网站Buzzfeed介绍，Nick是店里的通用类员工（general crew member），这也就意味着哪里有需要就要去哪里干活。
The job entailed "doing anything we're told to do," explained Nick.
Nick解释说：“也就是说这工作就是‘别人让做什么，我们就做什么。’”
这也成为他和麦当劳冰淇淋机故事的开端……
Nick told BuzzFeed News that while on the job about a month ago, he was instructed by a manager to refill the ice cream machine. He'd accidentally spilled some of it, and so he tried to clean the areas of his mess, including the sides of the machine.
Nick向Buzzfeed新闻透露，大约一个月前，经理让他把冰淇淋机重新装满。他不小心撒了一些，于是就试着清理弄脏的地方，包括机器的侧面。

没想到，眼前的景象让他彻底惊呆了……（前方高能预警）
"I tried to clean the machine after I spilled it, so I pulled [the trays] out from the side," he said.
他说：“弄撒了以后，我想把机器清理干净。所以，我把托盘从侧面抽出来。”
"I was completely shocked by what I saw," said Nick after he found what looked be mold completely coating the inside of a tray.
Nick说，看到霉菌完完全全长满了托盘内部，“我彻底被眼前景象惊呆了。”
Nick说，他本来以为冰淇淋机是有人定时清理的，没想到……
"I thought [the machine] would be cleaned regularly," Nick said. He said that neither he, nor other general crew employees at this location, were ever told to clean the machine.
Nick说：“我以为有人定期清理机器呢。”显然，从来没人告诉他和该店其他通用类员工要清理冰淇淋机。
Buzzfeed新闻表示，在25、26号两天，他们多次就此事致电麦当劳拉普拉斯店，结果员工接了电话知道他们的来意后，表示太忙，没空聊这个事儿（staff were too busy to speak）。
不过，麦当劳总部发言人倒是对此事进行了表态：
A spokesperson for McDonald's HQ told BuzzFeed News they are "committed to running great restaurants" of "high-quality food, service, and a clean environment."
麦当劳总部新闻发言人对Buzzfeed新闻表示，他们“致力于经营了不起的餐厅”，提供“高品质食物、服务和清洁的坏境。”
发言人还表示，小哥拍的长霉托盘不会和真正的冰淇淋有接触。
The spokesperson also said that the moldy tray Nick photographed does not cross paths with the actual ice cream.
发言人还说，Nick拍的长霉托盘，不会和真正的冰淇淋有直接接触。
"This is a part of our soft-serve equipment that does not come into contact with any food and is required to undergo regular and timely cleaning," the representative stated.
这位代表说：“这是我们软冰淇淋机器设备的一部分，不会和任何食物存在接触，而且我们要求对其进行定期、及时的清理。”
不过究竟谁负责清理机器这事儿呢，麦当劳没有给出回答……
The company did not respond to questions about who is responsible for regularly cleaning the machines.
该公司对谁负责定期地清理机器没有给出回答。
目前可查到的路易斯安那州卫生部门对该家麦当劳的卫生检查资料是从2015年开始的，定期检查也发现该店存在“食物接触面和餐具看起来、摸起来都不干净”（food contact surfaces and utensils are not clean to sight and touch）等问题。
其实，长霉托盘的照片是Nick在7月初拍的，他一直在犹豫要不要冒着被炒鱿鱼的风险把照片公之于众。
He said he knew he might get in trouble for sharing them publicly. But for two weeks, he wrestled with the idea of risking his job to expose what he felt were unsanitary conditions.
他说他知道，如果把这些公布出来，很可能会陷入麻烦中。但是在两个星期里，他都在纠结到底要不要冒着丢工作的风险曝光他看到的不卫生的情况。
