看笑话学英语：Good news and bad news







An artist asked the gallery owner if there had been any

interest in his paintings on display at that time. "I have good news and bad news," the owner replied. "The good news is that a gentleman inquired about your work and wondered if it would appreciate in value after your death."

"When I told him it would, he bought all 15 of your paintings."

"That's wonderful," the artist exclaimed.

"What's the bad news?"

"The guy was your doctor..."

好消息和坏消息

一个画家问画廊老板是否有人对他的画感兴趣。“我有好消息和坏消息给你，”老板说，“好消息是有个人问我这些作品在你死后会不会升值。”

“我告诉他会，于是他买了你所有的15张画。”

“这太好了，”画家叫道，“那坏消息呢？”

“这个人是你的医生。”
