Over 50 people have been sentenced to death in Algeria _____________________________President Abdelaziz Bouteflika three years ago. A 28-year-old former Islamist, Walid Zeghina, was sentenced along with another 53 Islamists who are on the run. The suicide bomb attack on President Bouteflika's motorcade in September 2007 killed 20 people and injured 170.
