问题如下：
------Mum，what shall I take with me if I go to the north in winter?
------Oh, you need to take some warm clothes ______ the weather is cold.
A. in case B. now that

now that 后面跟原因状语从句，一般后面跟一些能确定的不争的事实。而题中冬天去北方只是问问而已，所以很冷只是预测，事实上不一定。

in case 后面跟条件状语从句，“以防”从某种意义上就代表着预测。
翻译就是：你最好带一些暖和的衣服，以防（万一）天气寒冷。

所以in case是对的。

i think the answer is B.
in case:万一，如果  now that既然，由于
句子意思是：妈妈，如果我冬天去北方应该带些什么？
         你需要带些暖和的衣服——天气冷。北方冬天的天气本来就冷啊，所以我认为就不选in case了，而是选now that 既然，由于。
   不知道答案是什么，但是，从我这个角度分析，我认为就是选B.

我认为答案选B.
因为北方本来就冷，In case的意思是“万一，以防”，主要防止意外情况，突如其来的状况或情形
而now that的意思是“既然，由于”，主要是针对已知情形，一般now that前的句子是用来防止已知情形的发生。
所以，答案应该选B.

The North is cold in the winter, this is a common sense.

In North China, the people all sleep in a heatable brick bed, we called it "kang".

感觉这个题目是来考查“in case".尽管 now that 也可以讲通。

选B，因为“in case"引导的从句，谓语动词多用 should +动词原形构成。
例：Here 's some money in case you should need it .
I 'll keep a seat for you in case you should change your mind .
