listen to the material carefully,although it is difficult and sometime you can't write down the correct answer.As long as you have tried,whatever you write down will be the harvest of yours.You should believe that only by accumulating little by little could you learn English welll.so come on.

My friend, Hugh, has always been fat, (1)__________________________. He began his diet a week ago. First of all, he worte out a long list of all the foods which were forbidden. The list included most of the things Hugh loves: butter,potatoes,rice,beer,milk,chocolate,and sweets. Yesterday I paid him a visit. (2)_________________________. He led me into his room and hurriedly hid a large parcel under his desk. It was obvious that he was very embarrassed. When I asked him what he was doing, he smiled guiltily and then put the parcel on the desk. (3)______________________. Then he showed me the contents of the parcel. It contained five large bars of chocolate and three bags of sweets!

1. but since got so bad recently that he decided to go on the diat
2. i rang the bell and was not surprised to see that Hue was still less fat than ever
3. he explained that his diat was so striked that he had to reward himself ocassionally

I rang the bell and was not surprised to see that Hugh was still least fat as ever
He explained that his diet was so strict that he had to reward himself occasionally
