很多学英语的同学都喜欢收听VOA、BBC、CNN等英语新闻广播，想以此来提高听力和口语水平，于是每天早上都能看到一些同学拿着收音机在校园里边走边听，有的怕信号不好，还用手把收音机举起来，像个自由女神一样。其刻苦学习英语的态度令人敬佩，但很多同学都说基本上听不懂，也不知道该怎么听。这是个非常普遍的问题，也是个比较棘手的问题，有的同学甚至由此产生了对学英语的恐惧。
但大可不必这样，其实这些新闻广播是有一些特点的，我们只要掌握这些特点和一些收听技巧，还是能够听懂这些新闻的。下面就来具体的谈谈这些特点和技巧。

vocabulary and pronunciation are the most important parts in listening to the video. but you don't need to understand every world on the video, if you can catch key words then you can understand the meaning of the news.
