six figures=six digits=六位数
a six-figure salary=六位数的薪水
The final cost of the project will easily run into six figures.
这个工程的最终成本很容易就超过6位数了。

six penny=不值钱

at sixes and sevens=乱七八糟（乱六七糟？）
When the visitors arrived we were still at sixes and sevens.
客人们都到了，我们这里还是乱七八糟的。

it's six of one and half a dozen of the other=半斤八两、双方都有错
In any family quarrel, it's usually six of one and half a dozen of the other.
家人吵架，多半双方都有错。

knock/hit somebody for six=给某人沉重的打击

deep six the proposal
否决提议

six-pack=六块腹肌

a six-pack of beer=半打啤酒

Hah,lazy is your excuse of unwillingness.You must try your best to start reading book,or you may fail in the examination,so next semester you will spend much time on make-up examination.Thereby you may lost quite a little time that you can spend on your favourite.
