W: I don't like violent movies. They are not good for children.
M: Why?

M: I agree. In the United States,most movies are rated in order to tell people what is appropriate for children.The ratings include “G” which means for the general audience including children,“PG” which recommends parental guidance for children,“PG 13” which strongly recommends parental guidance for children under 13,and “R” which is for adults.
W: I see. So there are different ratings for different kinds of movies.There are different kinds of American movies,such as action movies and violent movies you mentioned earlier.I don't like these and I seldom watch them.

They maybe inventive or well produced and they have famous stars and handsome actors but the stories are so far from reality they are not instructive and meaningful
