Officials in southern Somalia say foreign troops staged a pre-dawn attack today on an announced al-Shabab safe house. Sources told VOA that a top al-Qaeda militant working with al-Shabab was the target of the attack in the militant controlled town of Barawe, 250 kilometers south of the capital Mogadishu.
