After the violent earthquake that shook Los Angeles in 1994,earthquake scientists had good news to report

the damage and death toll could be much worse.
despite the good news, engnieer today are detemining to come up with new design that could offer even great security to buildings during earthquakes.
such buildings could be callled smart buildings and could be very expensive to build.
