Eyewitnesses of twin blasts in northeastern Nigeria have given harrowing evidence about the scene in the city of Gombe after the explosions. They said victims were bursting like exploding tyres and body parts were littering the streets. _____________________________________________

A study is being carried out in Sierra Leone to try to establish whether Ebola can be passed on through sexual contact with male survivors of the virus. The World Health Organisation says it's a strong possibility. Previous research suggests Ebola can stay in semen for at least three months after recovery from the virus. Tulip Mazumdar reports from Freetown.
