英式英语和美式英语一直是两国人民争论不休的话题。英国人自带的黑色幽默和高冷属性造就了他们特别爱吐槽美国人的英语，觉得美式英语不够正宗、纯粹。那么，英国人最不能忍受的美式表达都有哪些呢?今天小编就带着大家一起来看一看。

1. Using 24/7 rather than “24 hours, 7 days a week” or even just plain “all day, every day”.

　　美国人用24/7来表达“全天”，而不是“24 hours, 7 days a week”，或者美国人就简单地说“all day, everyday”。

英式用法：all the day/constantly

2. Transportation. What’s wrong with transport?

美国人习惯用Transportation(交通工具)。但英国人吐槽他们：“难道就不能用transport吗?”

3. Take-out rather than takeaway!

美国人说take-out(外卖)，而不是takeaway!

4. Does nobody celebrate a birthday anymore?

难道没人庆祝生日(celebrate a birthday)了吗?

美国人庆祝生日的时候要说“turn”12?连爱丁堡公爵过生日也统统说 “turning 90 years old”。

5. I caught myself saying "shopping cart" instead of shopping trolley today and was thoroughly disgusted with myself.

美国人在超市购物会说： shopping cart(购物手推车)而不是shopping trolley ['trɒlɪ].

英国网友表示：我从没去过美国，都被这种说法恶心到了。

6. “I’m good” for “I’m well”.

　　美国人用“I’m good”替代“I’m well”。表示我很好。

7. “Bangs” for a fringe of the hair.

美国人喜欢用“bangs”表示刘海，而在英国，大家更多用fringe [frɪn(d)ʒ]。

8. To “wait on” instead of “wait for” when you're not a waiter。

美国人用“wait on”而不是“wait for”表示等候。而且说话的人还不是服务员。一般在英式用法中wait on 表示服侍或焦急的等待，而wait for表示等候。
