A hard call: 指事情难以判定

An easy call: 指情况很明显，不复杂

A: Who will win tonight's game?

今晚的比赛谁会赢？

B: That's an easy call. Chian's team of course.

这很容易看得出来，当然是中国队。

blow out 1.聚会 2.爆炸

We arrived two hours late at the big blow out for Charle's birthday
　because our car had a blow-out.

　由于我们车胎炸了，所以我们晚了两个小时到达查理举行生日宴会的地方。
　这句话里第一个blow-out是指规模很大的聚会，第二个blow-out是指汽车的轮胎炸了。

cut and dry 预设好的;已完成的、无法改变的

The situation wasn't cut and dry, and it was actually quite complicated.

情况尚未底定，而且事实上相当复杂。

解析：cut and dry 也可以说 cut and dried，本来是形容已晒干处理好，准备出售的药草，引申为“预设好的”或“已完成、无法改变的”。
