Firstly, do not jump to conclusions that the lier is immoral or bad qulity, you had netter to learn his motives, I believe a good motives shines a lie. It isn't necessary for you to know everything, sometimes it is better for you to keep a distance of the truth, this helps you to get a good result in the future. For example, my husband told me that his parents likes me very much before our marriage, and I believed it. So I show my good manners and great patient to my parents-in-law, and they really got well with me.  With time going on, I find that my husband lied that his parents couldn't like me so much as his description. But it doesn't mattter, he just want to build a good environment for his wife and parents,  he meant no hurt， just love.
So I accept white lie.
