•        America and China established diplomatic relationship officially in January,1979.Two governments signed Sino-U.S. trade agreement and gave mutual most-favored-nation treatment, from which economy and trade between the two countries has entered into a period of rapid development. According to the statistics of China, the Sino-Us trade volume was $2.45billion in 1979 and up to $42.84billion in 1996,which added up to $260.6billion in 18years. America has become the third biggest trade partner of China since 1979 and climbed up to the second in 1996. According to America, bilateral trade  in 1979 was $2.37billion and up to $63.5billion in 1996,which added up to $376billion in 18 years. China was the 24th trade partner of US in 1980,while in 1995 China has climbed to the fifth.
