we already know a lot about how it works by studying how things going wrong after injury as wel as studying how happy humans behave.
they can see areas they respond when we are happy or sad ,or we sense a perticular colour  , shape ,or sound.
a new generation of computer with network of circuits similar to that of our own brains might also be in doubt with consiousness.
