How much paper do you use every year? Perhaps you can't answer that question quickly. Some countries use as much as fifty kilograms of paper for each person in a year.

Countries like the United Stats, England and Sweden use more paper than other countries. Paper is made from the wood and trees. So the foest countries like Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland and the United States have becoming very improtant countries in paper making.

Finland makes the best paper in the world. Today, paper making machines are very big and they make paper very fast. Watch them around, the biggest machines can make a piece of paper four hundred meters long and six meters wild in one minute.

When we think of paper, we think of newpapers, books, letters and writing paper, but there are many other uses, only have of the paper that is made is used for books and newspaper. For example, paper keeps it warm in Finland's cold winters. The farmers ware paper boots in the snow, nothing is warmer than paper boots.
