Mrs.Jinbidai of Washington was the first propose the ideal of father 's day of 1909 .Mrs.Dai want a special day to honor her father Willianm Smart .William Smart  is a civil war veteram . he was a leader when his wife Mrs.Dai's mother died in child birth withe the six child .Mr. Smat was left to raise his new born and other five childern by himself  on the rural farm in the easter Wsshington State.
It was after Mrs . Dai became a dult , and she realized the strengh and selflessness of her father show to raising his child as a single father.
