Bids for Madonna's childhood home top two
million dollars
Bidding for pop star Madonna's childhood home in Rochester Hills, Michigan, has topped two million dollars, according to information posted on the online auction site eBay
Thursday.
The owners of the modest four-bedroom, two-bathroom home in a leafy part of Rochester Hills, southeastern Michigan, were originally seeking 324,000 dollars for the
2,700 square-foot "colonial-style" building.
But the home's eBay sale-site has received some 7,500 hits and 25 bids since it was first posted on August 21, and prospective buyers still have another month to
make an offer on the home which the singer and actress shared with her father, stepmother, and seven siblings growing up.
The current non-binding bid is two million, three hundred dollars -- quite a jump on the average price of a home in this town north of Detroit: US,000.
