M: I'm thinking about joining that new club downtown.
W: I heard it's a very fancy place.They have displayed rooms and workshops and they keep a good stock of all materials for the members to work with.
M: I heard about that.(1)_________________________________________.The only thing I'm not sure of is the price.
W: I won't expect that sort of place to be very cheap.
M: I suppose you're right,but I've decided that I really want to develop my artistic abilities.I think joining an organization like that would be a good step.
W: Well, you don't have to join a fancy organization just to develop your artistic abilities, you know?You can sketch or paint anywhere.All you really need is some art supplies,and then you can get started anytime.
M: That's true. I used to go out to the park and sketch,but I always gave up after a few weeks.
W: (2)________________________________________.If you set aside time every day to work on a project,you would be surprised how much you could accomplish in a few weeks.
M: That would be great!You know, instead of spending all that money on joining the club,I could buy some really nice books or videos to develop some special techniques.
W: That's true.Of course you could even look for art books at the library instead of buying them.
M: Oh, I think you just save me a lot of money.I'd like to return a favor.How about painting your portrait?
