After my exciting conversation with my uncle, I was eager to start our adventure, but I felt quite confused after I left his study. I left the house to take a walk to calm myself. After I became calmer, I thought more about what my uncle had said.

我走出房子去散步，好让自己平静下来。冷静下来之后，我有认真考虑了叔叔的话。

"It's crazy!" I exclaimed. "It makes mo sense. It's not a serious plan; nothing of all that is real."

“太疯狂了！”我叫道。“毫无意义。这根本不是一个严肃的计划；一点都不现实。”

Meanwhile, I had walked to the river, near the outside of the city. After a short time, I arrived at Grauben's relatives' home, just as she was leaving to return to my uncle's home.

此时，我已走到河边，接近城郊。过了一会儿，我来到了格劳班亲戚的家，她这时正要动身返回我叔叔家。

"Grauben!" I called out.

“格劳班！”我喊道。

She soon noticed me walking to her. "Axel!" she said, surprised. "You've come to meet me! That's very nice of you." She then noticed how worried I looked. "What's the matter?" she asked.

她很快就看到我正朝她走去。“阿克塞尔！”她惊奇地说。“你是来接我的！你真是太好了。”然后她注意到我看上去很犹豫。“怎么了？”她问。
