      死刑即按司法程序来将一名罪犯杀死。最终被判死刑的犯罪通常称为死罪。

     The death penalty is the killing of a person by judicial process as a punishment for an offense. Crimes that can result in a death penalty are known as capital crimes or capital offences.

     在加拿大，澳大利亚，新西兰，拉丁美洲，以及西欧地区，由于受到大部分人们的反对，死刑已经变得不再盛行。美国却是个特例：一些州已经废除死刑几十年了（最早的是密歇根，于1847年废除），而有些至今还在流行。

     In Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and Western Europe, the death penalty has become relatively unpopular, with the majority  of the population opposing it.The United States is a notable exception:some states have had bans on capital punishment for decades (the earliest is Michigan, where it was abolished in 1847), while others actively use it today.

     然而一些大屠杀，恐怖性质的行为，杀童，时不时又会掀起支持死刑的浪潮。亲爱的朋友们，你认为死刑应不应该被废除？你的观点是什么？

     However certain cases of mass murder, terrorism, and child murder occasionally cause waves of support for reinstitution.My dear friends,do you think that should the death penalty be abolished?What's your oppinion?
