1月29日故事:A Wildcat Stealing a Chicken 野猫偷鸡

Please read the story carefully, then translate the red sentences and tell me what are you thinking about when you read the whole story~Don't be shy, just make your imagination fly in your sky!

Once upon a time, there was a family living in the mountains. One night, a wildcat stole a chicken. When the house-owner discovered the loss, he rushed to chase the wildcat, but it was already out of sight.
The next day, a trap was set at the spot where the wildcat snuck in and a chicken was used as the bait. The family kept watching through out the night. When the wildcat set foot in that place again, he was immediately trussed up by the ropes. The wildcat was tightly bound until he was unable to move his body, except for the mouth and the legs. And the greedy wildcat was seen struggling to stretch his mouth and legs out to reach the chicken. He kept on inching his way toward the chicken, until his dying breath. His mouth and legs were still in the direction of the chicken after death.
Having seen what happened, the house-owner heaved a regretful sigh and said," This wildcat would steal the chicken even at the expense of his life. I suppose there are people there are people like this, whose greed for something is so great that they are willing to die for it."

Greedy folks have long arms.           ——Robbins Stawa
