Brad Goldpaint 是一名优秀的摄影师。他的作品曾数次被 NASA 选用。而读者也经常能够在国家地理， Discover, Wired, 赫芬顿邮报等报刊杂志上见到他的作品。2010 年，在他的母亲去世后，这位前建筑系的学生背上行囊，开始攀登太平洋山脊的旅行。太平洋山脊南起加利福尼亚州的美墨边境，北至加拿大的不列颠哥伦比亚省。一路走下来，他已经对摄影深深地着了迷。“户外摄影已经成为我日常生活的一个重要组成部分，”他说道。很快，他又沉醉于天文摄影。他的代表作有火山口湖国家公园的夜空，夜幕下的火花湖。两幅照片都成功地记录下北极光这一奇景。
