1、appear [ə'piə]      反义词：disappear
1）vi. 出现，显现，呈现   A ship appeared on the horizon.

关键句型：情态动词must
情态动词must常常用来表示不可避免的义务，这种义务在说话人看来是没有余地的。must后必须跟动词原形。
I must leave now.   Must you leave now?  No. I needn’t./Yes, I must.
He said that he must leave early.    We must leave early tomorrow.
Must可以用have to, have got to来代替，但have to可以与不同时态连用，而must只有一种时态变化。
I have to leave now.   I had to leave yeaterday.   I shall have to leave now.
在过去式的句子中，要用had to表示必须。
She had to go shopping yeaterday.
Must和have to, have got to一般可以互换，但在表示“必须”这个意思时，must着重说明主观看法，而have to比较强调客观需要。
I must tidy up the room.（主观想法）
I have to tidy the room.（客观需要）
Must可用来推测，只有在肯定句中能这样用，这种揣测比may表示的药肯定的多。
He must be a fool. = I personally think he is a fool.
She must be over forty. = I personally think she is over forty.
