Edward Ted,a retired postman who lives in New York was attacked a month ago at a subway entrance in his neighborhood. It was late afternoon,he said. and he was returning home from visiting his wife in the hospital. Suddenly,three young men assaulted him. (1)____________________. The blow sent him crashing to the ground and when he got up. his glasses were smashed and a tooth was knocked out. Doctors later found that several of his cheek bones had been broken.
