The International Organization for Migration says it has begun moving more than 1,200 refugees out of the Libyan town of Sultan. Most of the refugees are from Chad. They are being sent to Chad and Niger. The International Organization for Migration reported Monday that it has been unable to get aid to Sabah because of fighting.

The Greek Finance Ministry says the government will miss a goal to reduce its deficit by almost 1%. The announcement caused stock prices around the world to drop. Greece is struggling to prove to lenders that it is raising enough money and cutting spending to receive another $11 billion loan. The cabinet has approved the proposed spending plan for 2012 that cuts 30,000 government jobs. The move could save Greece and estimated $400 million.
