Get the names
The managing
editor
(编辑) was teaching a new reporter. Among other things, he said that
names were important for all news stories.
Later the new reporter handed in the following story:
“Last night
lightning
(闪电) struck a
barn
(谷仓) northwest of town belonging to L.A., and killed three cows.
Their names were Rosie, Isabel and Mabel.”
主编正在培训一个新记者。除了常规需要交代的，主编特别强调“names”对一篇报道的重要性。随后，新记者上交一份报道：昨夜，雷电袭击了洛杉矶西北部城镇的一个谷仓，并闪毙三头牛，它们的名字分别是罗西、伊莎贝尔、梅布尔。
