The power of your own thoughts

心理暗示的力量

It’s awesome to have an ability that can allow you to overcome anything. If you can control your thoughts, you’re most likely to achieve what it is you want to achieve. This is because “the energy flows where the attention goes”. If you dedicate time to do things you like, you’ll become good at them. But if instead, you focused all your energy on negatives thoughts, you’ll simply reinforce them.

如果能够拥有克服任何困难的能力,那是多么让人欣喜。假如你能控制你的思维,你将极有可能获得你所想要的。这是因为你的力量伴随你的注意力。假如你投入到你喜欢的事情,你将会变得更加精通它。但是如果你把精力投入于消极的想法,那么你将更加消极。

Many will soon ask “Well, how can I control each and every of my thoughts?”
The answer is that you do not want NOR need to verify each and every of your thoughts. What you need to do is to realise that some are bad and some are good. What you want to do is supress the bad and keep the good. Whenever you do something that you feel is not right, stop doing it as soon as possible. If for example you swear, if you keep swearing, events will create possibilities for you to swear even more. As soon as you realise swearing is not good for you, try by every possible mean to stop it.

很多人将会问:“我怎样才能控制我的每一则思想?”

答案就是:你不要试图,也不必要去证实你的种种思想。你所要做的就是分清事情的好坏,抑制消极保持积极。无论什么时候只要你感觉不对,立即停止它。比方说,如果你咒骂某事,那么事情很可能往你不希望的那个方向发展,这样你的怨言就会越来越多。只要你认识到咒骂对你没有好处,那么尽力让它停止。

This sounds fatalist isn’t it? Basicly, it’s a frame of mind. The more you do something, the more it’s likely to happen once more. It’s almost a Murphy law:

The things you want to avoid at all cost will occur more and more — Me

这听起来是不是有点宿命论?基本上是这种思维模式,你做某件事越多,它越可能再次出现。这几乎是墨菲定律:你不惜一切代价想要躲避的事物会不停地发生。

Think about it for a second: if you were to spend each and every minutes looking at your face for signs of acne, would you start creating pictures of you in your mind with acne? As soon as you’d feel a small bump on your face you’d start to freak out? You see, all this list of events actually contribute to it happening. That’s why you should not focus or even think about what you do not want. It’s actually making you lose your time as it only reinforce what you do not want. Instead, find a way to make it positive. “I want to have a soft skin” would be a better frame of mind. This way, you’ll work on what will help you instead of what you don’t want to occur.

稍微想想,假如你花很多时间紧盯着自己的脸找粉刺,你的脑海里是否已经产生自己满脸粉刺的图像?只要你感觉脸上有小包点,你就要开始抓狂了。你应该知道,所有的这些想像有助力于事实的发生。这就是为什么不要沉迷于或反复思虑你不想要的事物的原因。事实上,这是浪费你的时间因为这种想象只会强化你所不想要的东西。相反,寻找一条积极的途径。“我想要柔软的肌肤”将会是一种更好的思维模式,这样,将对你有利而不是有害。

Yet again, it’s a bit hard to really think it’s going to work, but I can assure you that if you follow the right mindset, you won’t have any problem. You see, all this article is actually talking about the power of your brain. It is him who tells you how you should be feeling about EVERYthing. Why would you consider acne to be bad? Maybe you should know that acne is a good sign of health and that your hormones are working great! No, instead you tell to yourself “My skin is messed up, I’ll never recover from it”. It will never help you to tell yourself you’re not doing the things the way you should do them. DO what you want, not what you don’t want.

然而,积极的思考未必会带来正面的结果,但是我保证,你也不会有什么负面的麻烦。你看,这篇文章是在讨论大脑的力量,它能告诉你应该如何感知事物。为什么你认为痤疮好不了,或许你应该认识到它正提示你的身体健康,你的荷尔蒙正有效发挥作用。相反,你却暗示自己:“我的皮肤糟糕透了,恐怕再也难以恢复”。不停地告诉自己事情没有往好的方向发展,对解决麻烦没有任何益处。想你所要的,而不是你不想要的。

It is you who decide what is good and what is not. If it’s not good, then stop giving it priority in your life, it’ll just make it worst. If it’s positive then make sure to emphasize it and give it more power so it grows even more.

If someone tells you if a glass is filled to the half with water, is it half-empty or half-full? — tell him it’s half-ful

只有你才能定义事情的好与坏。假如不好,那么不要让它主导你的生活,不然,事情将会更糟。假如它对你起积极作用,那么请强调它并给予更强大的力量,从而它会更好。

假如有人告诉你一个瓶子里装半瓶水,那么你是说:它是半满还是半空?请告诉他:它是半满的!
