Ted： So you wouldn't want to talk down to him. Talk down to：以一种高高在上的傲慢态度去对待别人。EG: Just because she is the manager doesn’t give her the right to talk down to her staff. 就算她是经理，也没有权利对员工摆出一副高高在上的姿态。

I agree with you ,but I think you may have made a little grammar mistake.the second sentence should be ; who do you think you are ? what do you think?
